Case Study: Apartment Move in Costa Mesa

In February, we handled a move from a third-floor apartment in Costa Mesa to a townhouse roughly ten minutes away. On paper it looked simple — short distance, not too much furniture. In reality, it wasn’t.

There was no elevator. The stairwell was narrow, especially on the second turn, and parking near the building is always tight. The biggest concern was a heavy solid-wood bedroom set that had clearly been moved before — and not very carefully. The family also had a couple of paintings from a past trip that meant a lot to them, so we handled those with care.

The bedroom set required disassembly inside the apartment, as there was no way it would safely make those turns assembled. Everything was wrapped on-site.

The paintings were padded and secured properly before loading to prevent shifting during transit.

The job finished in a little under five hours. Walls were clean, neighbors weren’t disturbed, and there were no surprises along the way. Later, the client mentioned that what they appreciated most was how calm the whole process felt — steady from start to finish.

That’s often how local moves in Costa Mesa go. Short distance doesn’t always mean simple.
